Go Gray is an iPhone app by ATAREH STUDIOS INC that puts grayscale one tap away. A gray screen makes apps less tempting, so you pick up your phone less. Go Gray adds 30-minute color breaks, nudges when you have spent too long on apps you choose, and a log of your time in color.
Go Gray is free to download on the App Store. Go Gray Pro is an optional subscription: $2.99 a month or $24.99 a year (US prices; other countries are priced by the App Store).
Go Gray Pro shows your Apple Screen Time app by app, with pickups, notifications and your hardest hour. It adds app blocks that pause apps you chose once you pass a daily limit, and bedtime and work routines that pause apps on a schedule.
The core Go Gray features are free to use. Any trial offer for Go Gray Pro is shown in the app and on the App Store at the time you subscribe.
Go Gray needs iOS 16.0 or later. Adding Go Gray Toggle to Control Center needs iOS 18 or later. Go Gray is iPhone only; there is no Android app.
iPhone already has a grayscale Color Filter, which you can switch with the Accessibility Shortcut (triple-click). Go Gray uses that same filter, but adds a one-tap Go Gray Toggle for Control Center, the Action button or Back Tap, 30-minute color breaks that switch you back to gray by themselves, nudges on the apps you choose, and a log of your time in color.
No. You switch grayscale yourself with one tap. The only automatic switch is the end of a 30-minute color break, which turns your screen gray again.
Go Gray uses Apple’s Screen Time framework (Family Controls, Device Activity and Managed Settings). The apps you choose are stored as private tokens from Apple, so Go Gray cannot see their names. Your screen time stays on your iPhone, and Go Gray never uploads, sells or shares it. The full details are in the Privacy Policy at gogray.today/privacy.
In Go Gray, turn on Monitor Usage and pick the apps that pull you in. Go Gray nudges you after 30 minutes and after 1 hour on them. You choose what happens next.
